Mechanical Design Manager - Bristol - To take responsibility and manage the design process and co-ordinate building requirements from first principles to a final scheme for specific contracts with other departments through delegation and supervision. · To maintain and produce designs which comply with relevant regulations, divisional procedures and company standards. · To complete design cost-control charts and monitor*report on performance whilst ensuring completion of design change notices. To facilitate liaison of multi-discipline drawing production with the project team. To produce drawing programmes, schedules, design check lists, maintenance manuals, working and record drawings, To liaise with clients, manufacturers and project team on all matters relating to company*clients` design, Produce reliable accurate designs, Effective management of contract variations whilst controlling costs and meeting targets, Efficient operation of the design team, - Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will have completed a full apprenticeship and be a corporate member of a professional building services institution. The applicant will have the ability to control, organise and communicate with staff on multi-discipline contracts and have attended courses on health and safety at work Applicants must have a proven record with at least 10 years design and drafting experience in the building services industry.
